Re: Corridor car lot

Priscilla-
I think your worst fears are justified.
According to a 2-page ad in the Daily News (Wed. Aug 25), this weekend we
will be treated to this FIRST ANNUAL event--the 3 big Pullman car
dealerships are joining forces to haul some of their clunkers out to the
rock-crushing site on the Corridor and wrap them all up in garish, crass,
and shiny commercialism.
For those who think that somehow careful development in the Corridor is
really an option, this should be an awakening.
To those (especially in the Pullman business community) who think that
Corridor development is an economic boost for the towns, perhaps they will
reconsider when the big auto dealers permanently move to the Corridor,
taking all their tax base with them.
To those who wanted a safe, enjoyable Corridor, too bad.
