Re: 3rd world countries

If you call them "developing nations" instead of "third world countries"
that carries with it the suggestion that they are striving to become more
like us.

Thinking about the world can depress a person.

But just to wring everything possible out of this topic: If the Communist
bloc was the "second world" (I THINK that was the case) and if the
Communist bloc has fallen on hard times lately and is actually worse off
than many what-we-used-to-call "third world" countries, is Russia now 
(for example) a "fourth world" country or -- to be politically
correct -- a not-so-as-you-would-notice-it developing country?
