1. Approval of Minutes of July 12, 1999

3. Bid Opening - Gary Presol
Bids were opened on July 16, 1999 for the final major underground utility
work on the Mountain View Road Project. The work entails storm sewer from
"F" Street south to Paradise Creek and watermain from "F" Street south to
"B" Street. Six bids were received with Adairco Construction, Inc. as low
bidder in the amount of $294,409.00. Engineers estimate was $306,006.80.
Staff recommends acceptance of Adairco Construction, Inc.'s bid.
Council Consent Agenda Item #1H
ACTION: Recommend acceptance of low bid from Adairco and authorize staff
to prepare necessary documents for Mayor's signature.
4. Authorization of Settlement of Claims by Andrew and Marilyn Schawm -
Gary J. Riedner
The Schwams have agreed to settle their property damage claim against the
City for $107,523.02 which is a greater amount than the $104,333.60
authorized by Council on May 17, 1999.
Council Consent Agenda Item #1I
ACTION: Recommend authorizing settlement with the Schwams for
$107,523.02.
