Hemp Fests



The Moscow council committee meeting this morning included discussion of the 
citizen request to do something about the illegal stuff supposedly happening 
at the Hemp Fest (in East City park in April). (see announcement below).
I spoke with Randy Rice (head of the parks dept) after the meeting this 
morning.  Randy said that no action to shut down Hemp Fest or increase 
police activity during Hemp Fest is expected.  Basically, the committee 
agreed with the city officials that Moscow should not shut down this kind of 
event on the possibility that illegal activity might be occurring maybe, or 
because some people may not like it.  BL
