Yes it's a good thing that they sent Susan Smith to prison for life
without possibility of parole.  Could you imagine how frightening it
would be if she were still walking free in society?  How many more
people is she capable of killing?

Yet I can't help but wonder why other murderers only spend 7 years in
prison.  Should there be less of a sentence if you're not supposed to
be emotionally attached to your victim?
