I wonder how the kids see this. I hated this about school. And back in my
day . . . people actually flunked and were held back.

How about acting-out and such? Causing disruptions by talking during class?

Couldn't the Legislature provide statutory liability for much of this?
In light of the recent Columbine shooting and the reports that the police
(and the school?) knew about the threats against students, I remembered when
I was in 6th grade I got to stay after school for a week because I
jay-walked. I guess I just should have been threatening to kill people . . .
