Dear visionaries,
It greatly pleases me to see a discussion concerning the youths in the
Moscow/Latah area. It is one that has been long overdue.
I will continue to monitor the discussion and see how it progresses.
Most of you know that I have sent several letters concerning the
plight of the youths in the area, with my emphasis being on the
teenage population. I am going to say little on the subject now, but
as the conversation progresses I will add my two bucks worth now and
again.
Moscow is a great place to live as long as you have one of two things.
1. Parents have enough money to buy their children state of the art
Comp. and or Nintendo 64/Sony Play stations to keep their otherwise
idle children busy.
2. Your of a legal age to be a patron of the local establishments.
Because aside from these two things, There isn't anything else of
young people to do in Moscow. Except of course try their luck at shop
lifting or under age drinking.
There is of course the Church. I was fortunate enough to be welcomed
into a Church family where I enjoyed getting together on Wed. and Sun.
nights to sing with the teen choir. But alas even this did not keep
me from doing one or both of the former mention, simply because I was
bored.
Anyway, there I go. I said I wasn't going to say much now but, you
know how I can get.
I can't wait to see how this discussion turns.
