I was going to advance a speculation about gas prices, but was somewhat
hesitant with the number of economists lurking on the list. Well
anyway, what follows is an exercise that may lead to public humiliation.
It seem to me that it's not only gas that's high in Moscow. The cost of
housing also seems to be out of sync with the rest of Idaho. And,
notice the problem we have in keeping local restaurants in business.
How much of this is due to the fact that we have an infrastructure to
support a population of 22,000, but have only 8-10,000 in residence four
months of the year?
