Oh, yes, we need a more legalistic society, where lawyers get even a
greater chunk of our GDP.

I feel that class action suits, while great in some fields, would be a
ridiculous vehicle here.  As someone pointed out in the past, gas prices
here are determined by the "free market" system.  Unless you can prove that
the gas station owners met and specifically agreed to price levels, there
is no price fixing, and nothing illegal.  Not to say it is moral, but an
attorney can't sue on grounds of bad morals.  If this could be litigated,
you can bet the attorneys would get 30-50%.  A formula to get a few people
rich.  No thanks.
