Re: Vandals win Bowl game!
Yes indeed... they won a football game. But check out the apres-game
festivities in Boise. Why hasn't this AP news story appeared in our local
newspaper with the same zeal as the reporting of the football game? C'mon
folks, where are the priorities??

players arrested during fight outside tavern
--------------------------------------------------------------------
(Boise-AP) -- Two University of Idaho football players were arrested
early today when a fight erupted outside a Boise tavern following the
Vandals' upset 42-to-35 Humanitarian Bowl victory over Southern
Mississippi.
Boise Police Lieutenant Jim Tibbs says officers arrested freshman
starting nose tackle Wil Beck of Veradale, Washington, for underage
consumption of alcohol and junior offensive lineman Keith Cosseboom of
Spokane, Washington, in connection with the fight that involved some 100
people.
Tibbs says the incident remains under investigation and other arrests
could be made for alcohol-related and other offenses. He says a tire on
one police cruiser was slashed during the drunken melee that also included
Idaho football coaches and supporters.
University of Idaho Athletic Director Mike Bohn says Beck and Cosseboom
both have been released from jail, and that school officials will swiftly
and completely investigate the incident.
But Bohn also says he believes initial reports of the disturbance have
been greatly embellished.
