New Year's

I was reminded last night of the LastNight/First Night celebration that
used to be held in Moscow.
I think we should revive this for 1999/2000.
I'm thinking, multi-venue with the MHS gym for a family celebration;
Community Center for a Contra dance; Moscow Social Club for a swing dance.
What community project could we raise money for with this event?
