my thoughts

I am not a subscriber to this service. My room-mate is and I hear
everything that everyone else writes here. And I have a few opinions to
state myself.
I do believe Clinton should be removed from office. I say that not as a
republican, because I am not one, or as a democrat, because I am not one of
them either. I am in the middle. Clinton was involved in shady deals
before he became president and because of the way political society is now
it became public after he was elected. He had to defend himself from the
getgo. He has scandal after scandal. All of his scandals were started
from republicans. I do believe that Congress should be trying to better
this country instead of fighting with eachother, but my wishes won't come
to pass. The impeachment vote is going to be a partisan vote and that
isn't right. The voting is going to be about party lines and loyalty. I
think that the people in Congress should vote according to their conscience
"without regards to party lines". If all these democrats would take out
party lines and loyalty, I do believe they would vote for impeachment. On
the other hand, I believe that some republicans would vote against
impeachment. The way I see it, our president lied to two grand juries and
tried to influence others to do the same. He has been dishonest to the
courts and the same to the public. He broke the law as president, and
needs to be punished. No one is above the law.
These attacks on Iraq pose another question. Iraq has balked on
inspections numerous times before in the past. Why didn't Clinton order a
strike back then? In my opinion, he's wagging the dog now. And then
again, why does it have to be our mission to stop other countries from
obtaining the weaponry that we have?
These are just some of the thoughts that I have, which I'm sure will cause
conflict with other readers. But I had to express my views, just like
everyone else.
