drug-sniffing dogs again

In response to the message I posted to our Moscow Vision 2020 list about 
the decision by the Canyon County sheriff to begin regular patrols of 
Canyon County parking lots with drug-sniffing dogs, I was sent this Web

The site is amazing.  The title is: "Do Drug dogs Trample on Student 
Rights?"
It appears to be constructed by a 17 year old student at Galt Joint 
Union High School who (if you read his report for his criminal justice 
class) was involved in a dog search and resultant suit.  Very well 
described.  You'll have to read the rest for yourself.  
Especially interesting was the report (also available at the site) on 
the results of the dog searches at his school, in terms of total 
evidence seized. Dogs made 25 "hits" and resultant searches yielded very 
small amounts of marijuana in 2 cars.
