Re: dogs and unreasonable searches



There's an article in the November 16 New Yorker by Jeffrey Rosen
entitled "Low Crimes and Misdemeanors" which comments on prosecutors'
tactics--Starr, but then goes into a general discussion of the idea of
using minor crimes to hold defendants for a background check, or to
search cars and premises for other evidence.

The case I mentioned that was argued before the Supreme Court was
Knowles vs. Iowa.
