Re: Planning City-County future

Visionaries:

    A discussion of Latah County's future and the need for
collaboration between City and County governments should
be an informed discussion.  Many of the growth issues
currently being discussed were investigated 
in 1994 with a public survey of Latah county residents.  
I authored the report based on that survey.  I pushed for
that study to provide baseline data for the future planning
needs.  Wouldn't it be nice to assess whether residents' 
attitudes toward growth have changed in the last 4 years? 

   Sometimes it is useful to go back and learn just what
the planning issues are(were) and what others think about these
issues.  We can indeed learn from  history.  For those interested, 
I can attach a copy of the report. The report is in MS Word format 
and is about 300K.
