Fundraising Feast Planned by Food Co-op
The Moscow Food Co-op has scheduled a gourmet dinner on November 19 to
raise money for the Co-op's move to their new location and the
remodeling needed to that new site. The dinner will be held at the
Louisiana Purchase banquet hall in Moscow beginning at 6pm, and will
feature ten different gourmet lasagnas, organic wines, classical guitar
music by James Reid, and a silent auction of about 30 donated items and
gift certificates.
Tickets cost $30 per person and are available at the Food Co-op, 310
West Third Street. A limited number of tickets will be sold, and
tickets must be purchased in advance.
The Moscow Food Co-op will complete renovations at their new location,
221 East Third Street, by the end of December. The Co-op will close
operations at their present location on December 31, 1998, and reopen at
the new location on January 5, 1999.
To help pay for the costs of renovation and moving, the Food Co-op is
accepting loans and donations from members and supporters. Of the
$75,000 in member loans needed for the moving project, more than $40,000
has now been pledged.
