Re: vision2020--Campaigning on list

I certainly agree that discussion of a ballot initiative like the 
optional form of county government choice is vital and appropriate for 
this forum.
My concern was opening the door to partisan discussions of individual 
political candidates.  I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that the subscribers 
to this list were not interested in such partisan political discussions 
on this list.
I was surprised--and pleased--that the few comments thus far heard have 
welcomed those kinds of political monologues.  I wonder what others 
think.
Is the local newspapers' letters to the editor sections adequate for 
these kinds of partisan statements--or do we welcome them on the 2020 
list? BL
