Re: Character That Matters?
On #2, oops. I notice, however, you didn't address the most important
factor, #3! Further, she isn't hypocritical in her ads IF she's
repentant and reconciled.
I can see by my e-mailed version of Headline News this morning that
she is going to have a really hard time making the distinction. Argh.

I can't imagine that you would hold Bill Clinton in the same light if he
began a similar set of ads, now that he's repented and reconciled.

Once it's been found out, just like Clinton.
>2. full disclosure, once someone asked
Kind of like Clinton is doing now? Politicians tend to give full
disclosure when they are not in a position to do anything else.
>3. she didn't lie to Congress about it
They never asked her about it.

Big difference. Both times, it was a case of older man/younger woman
(relatively). Interesting.
While we are indeed talking about a different severity, are you implying
that it is O.K. to have an extramarital affair if you're contrite (I guess
you'd have to be contrite as it happens, huh?), if you give full disclosure
when asked, if you don't lie to Congress about it (although having an
affair -- for six years -- invariably involves dishonesty with your own
family), and if it is with a peer, as opposed to a subordinate?
