First of all, Cass Davis is a "he," not a "she."  Secondly, the comment is
self-depricating.  His words may not be well-chosen, but he is speaking as
a native of Northern Idaho.  Cass is not an "educated" person, but he is
saying that you don't have to be a graduate of an Ivy League school in New
England to be anti-racist.
