City Image was: New book

Interesting approach.  I've not seen the book, but its title causes me to
wonder if the "image" includes the auditory aspects of a city.

I just returned from a couple weeks in Ireland, where buses and road
equipment are not encumbered with back-up beepers.  I think I heard but
one car horn the entire time.  Even the bicycles don't have bells.  And
the pubs rely only on acoustic volume; no amplification.

It was very peaceful, and most relaxing.
