FSR, censors, free speech WAS: Re: proposed changes to list

OK, let's put this in perspective, shall we?

FSR owns the computers and associated equipment on which the
Vision2020 mailing list resides. They have the right to do whatever
they want with that equipment, including removing materials which, by
some interpretations, would make them liable for propagating
slanderous or harmful speech.

Most service providers ask their clients to agree not to use the
service to mail or publish materials which are slanderous, harmful,
or pornographic; generally, they reserve the right to remove those
materials and/or discontinue service to the offending individuals.

FSR is, IMHO, fully within its rights to remove materials from the
Vision 2020 archives which it reasonably believes may put their
business at risk.
