The 2020 listserve: changes

For my 2 cents worth:

I think its very important to save the 2020 archives, but the removal of
spam is fine with me.

With respect to the suggestions that a number of people have made in terms
of subscribing and posting messages, it seems reasonable to me that people
be required to give their names and addresses in order to subscribe to the
list and in order to post to the list.  I think this would reduce spam,
increase civility, and make postings more believable without reducing the
ability of any concerned people to be heard.
