Here's the official explanation for the student lab problem. It breaks
down to: "There's a problem, and we're trying to figure it out".
Perhaps we've all become a bit too complacent about technology. It all
seems so powerful and exciting on the surface. However, it's built on a
very shaky foundation.
As one wag put it: "If architects built buildings the way programmers
construct prgrams, then the first woodpecker that came along would
destroy civilization."
