I applaud the comments of Greg Meyer and Dave Peckham which
recognize that the problems in education are not confined to just the
public schools. Society itself has undergone some drastic changes,
many of which are reflected in the schools. I hope the dialogue
continues on this important question. And thanks to Robert Porbasco
for provoking it. We can't just throw up our hands and walk away.
