While I support the concept of "Walking a Mile" in a welfare recipient's
shoes, I find it absolutely astounding, albeit typical, that it is happening
AFTER major cuts to public assistance programs have been approved. Doesn't
this seem a bit backwards?

Then again, all too often the American way is crisis management rather than
crisis prevention.
