In defense of Linda Pall--teak in many countries is grown on a sustainable
basis under plantation conditions in many countries. In the costal area of
Ecuador
are a number of teak plantations. Grass is grown between the trees and used
as pasture for cattle. I worked with several of these plantations while
in the Peace Corps. Tom Trail
