Former North-South Ski Area

This afternoon, I had a conversation with the new owner of the ski area
formerly known as the North-South Ski Bowl. The family live near Tacoma,
and would like to have community input about future uses of the site and the
buildings. There is little likelihood of the site supporting alpine skiing,
and I don't believe they or the Forest Service have an interest in
maintaining it for that purpose. The owners are interested in year-around
activities such as cross country skiing, mountain bike trail head, or camping.

Do any visionaries have suggestions to pass on to the owner. (A computer is
a possible Christmas acquisition for these people, although they probably
"spent" their gifts purchasing the site.)

The Palouse Nordic Ski Club (ASWSU) volunteers will be maintaining the cross
country ski trails there again, snow permitting. Be sure to purchase your
season Idaho Parks and Recreation ski parking permit.
