Bob,

Could you elaborate on why you find the UI pool marginally adequate for
family use or group use? Temperature? depth? hours?

When my children were young, we used the UI pool all winter and Reaney Park
all summer. I found Ghormley much too cold (even before it started leaking),
and it just didn't invite "lying around," which is a summertime pool thing.
I really liked the quality of the lifeguards at Reaney--I felt my children
were very safe there. And I liked being able to lap swim in the lap pool
while they played around in the other pool (once they were old enough and
good enough swimmers for me to feel comfortable leaving them under the
watchful eye of the guards). I never felt the need to "lie around" at the UI
pool--don't know if that's because it was indoors or because it was winter.
My goal during the winter was to GET THE KIDS OUT OF THE HOUSE, GET THEM
SOME ACTIVITY, & GET THEM TIRED.
