A front page article in the Daily News (Friday, June 20) described the
plans now being formulated for a "Palouse Economic Vitality Summit"
planned for Pullman and Moscow on September 10 and 18. While the group's
chair (John Sherman) was quoted as desiring a "broad spectrum" of
perspectives at the meeting, there was no mention of ways in which such
participation would be encouraged or developed.
During a phone conversation, Sherman welcomed participation by
2020 members in the event, and promised more specific updates about the
event as it approached.
Hopefully, a number of 2020 members will be able to attend.
