As usual, Gens Johnson offers a thoughtful posting.....
Anyway, I agree that some 2020 postings should also be Daily News
letters to the editor. I suggest that Daily News editor, Mark Trahant,
consider that suggestion and provide an email address that we could
include as a "cc" when we send to the 2020 list. Including that "cc"
address would mean that the author intends that the posting be used as a
letter to the editor as well.
In the meantime, we should all note how effective this list has
become in many ways--including framing community activities. When Lois
Melina posted her suggestion for a memorial ride for Deborah Budwig (with
the proviso that Lois not be expected to do any of the organizing), and
Tom Lamar replied that PCEI would organize the event, the idea moved from
the 2020 list to reality (or at least it will on Sunday). This email is a
fascinating communication system.
Which brings me to another of Gens' points in the posting
reprinted below. Yes, I think this 2020 list is an ideal place to discuss
such diverse community subjects like involving local youth in community,
the role of real estate developers, etc.....
