A reminder that the last of the public participation events addressing the
proposed Latahco ordinance changes is tonight at the courthouse at 7.

We were in Deary last night. Although there was considerably more
controversy than last week's meeting in Potlach, we got some great
feedback. There was a weak consensus that the proposed ordinance improves
upon the 40-acre rule, although there was significant support for
maintaining the 40-acre rule.

In both Deary and Potlach, a number of citizens voiced that the county
should have no partitioning rules, that one should be able to divide up
one's property however they see fit. This is a very vocal, passionate group
and their voices are being heard. If you have a different opinion, you're
going to voice it equally strongly to us and the commissioners.

Susan Palmer did a great job of facilitating. She probably has some more
observations. See you there. Dennis
