Dear Onepercenters,
The mandatory programs for county government are now on the 1%
homepage. This information is useful for citizens and county
officials in thinking about what services can not be cut with a
reduction of property taxes. The initiative holds police, fire, and
emergency medical services as mandatory as well. Therefore, the 25% reduction in
county revenues (state wide average) would fall disproportionately on
services not on this list, for example, cooperative extension.
