Two concrete suggestions were made at last night's Moscow Town Meeting.
First, conduct an inventory of valued or scenic areas that the
community agrees should be preserved. (As Priscilla points out, such
an inventory is useless unless its compilation is empirically sound.
Sloppy research is easy. Sound research costs some money--an investment.)

Second, one citizen proposed the creation of an entirely new zone that
identifies areas that are NOT SUITABLE for agriculture or forestry, that
could be used in other ways that meet the needs of the community and
objectives of the comprehensive plan.

The County Planning Commission is genuine in its commitment to listen
to citizen voices, and incorporate that material into redefining Latah
County's zoning.

You are welcome to attend any of the following future town meetings. Please
tell you neighbors, co-workers, and friends.

Potlatch High School Library Wednesday, February 7, 7:00 p.m.
Genesee City Hall Thursday, February 8, 7:00 p.m.
Deary Lions Hall Wednesday, February 13, 7:00 p.m.
Kendrick Fire Hall Thursday, February 14, 7:00 p.m.
