Devolution is the term describing the handing of power, money and
responsibility to lower levels of government (ie. Federal to state,
state to local)
The National Association of Counties (NACO) is sponsoring a video
conference "Dealing with Devolution:Counties Confront the New
Federalism". It is from 10am to 1pm January 24, 1996. It will be on
UI campus cable channel 11. I have reserved room 31E of agricultural
science if you would like to view it with others.
