The City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, Feb. 5, on the
request to lift the covenants on property on S. Main between Taylor
and Lauder to permit a gas station/convenience store/car wash/fast food
outlet. She didn't know what time it would be.
And a question from me:
Is a gas station/conveniencestore/etc. the "highest and best use" of that
prime piece of property, close to the business incubator, framing one of
the entrances to UI campus, and in an area of high-density multi-family
student and family housing?
