A 3-part public television series about grassroots democracy premiers
Sunday evening: 7 p.m. on channel 12 (KUID) and 8 p.m. on channel 7 (KSPS).
>From the advance publicity, it sounds like the series gets to many of the
issues we've been talking about on this list and in recent meetings.

Dan Kemmis was on the advisory board for the series, which runs Sunday,
Monday and Tuesday. Missoula's carousel is featured in the second episode.
The themes for each evening are:
* Sunday - freedom, responsibility, participation
* Monday - hard choices, information and deliberation
* Tuesday - opportunity, leverage, common ground

Each hour is subdivided by topic into three 20-minute segments, designed
for later showing in schools and community groups. As you watch, please
evaluate the suitability of the program as the basis for a discussion
series in the spring, as a possible follow-up to "A Tale of Two Cities."

As with Dan Kemmis' presentation, it would be interesting to see reactions
from people about the programs: what ideas might be applied locally, etc.
