The following information comes from a legal notice published in the
Daily News on Aug. 26:

Earhtone Properties of Pullman (the owner of the Professional Mall) has
filed an application for a "substantial development permit" for the ocnstructio
n of 7,550 square-feet of office space in four separate buildings, construction
of a 600-square foot car wash facility and approximately 39 parking spaces, al
ong the south fork of the Palouse River on the east side of the SE 1100 Block
of Bishop Boulevard. "Said devellopment is proposed to be within the South
Fork of the Palouse River and/or its associated wetlands. Any person desiring
to express his/her views or to be notified of the action taken on this action
should notify Lawrence W. Waters, director of public works, in writing within
30 days of publication" The deadline for comments is next Tuesday, Aug. 26.

Are any Pullman subscribers to this list familiar with the exact location...?
It sounds like it's close to the Holiday Inn, but I wonder if this involves
a channelizing or re-routing of the stream, or even placing a building over
the streambed (similar to Quality Inn/Paradise Creek). Please post any
information that you have.

thanks,
Kenton
