The Palouse Land Trust has arrived. After a year of negotiation and
organizational blah-blah, we now have a local "Nature Conservancy"
John Norton, attorney at large, is the president, Archie George
is the treasurer.
Greg Burton gave a decent intro in the Daily Sneeze on Friday
(Fresh Air page).
Could this be a useful partner in land use decisions? I could
imagine some situations where a private non-profit could be a great
answer to some tricky land use problem.
All I suggest is that we keep this option in mind......BL
