Miriam Abraham, a U of I graduate student in architecture, will be
conducting a visual preference survey at the Palouse Empire mall (12-5 pm
7/21) and at the Farmers' Market (8-1 pm 7/22). The survey consists of a
photography exhibit that depicts (1) two kinds of business districts and
(2) three kinds of residential neighborhoods. (It also includes a set of
plans, drawings of street networks, and other graphics.) Passers-by will
be asked to register their preference for one of the business districts and
one of the neighborhoods.

Miriam will be at her exhibit at the mall on 7/21, and Suvia Judd will set
up and keep an eye on the Farmers' Market exhibit (from her nursery stall
across the way). We are interested in finding someone from Vision 2020
who is willing to spend a few hours at the exhibit and talk to people about
planning and development issues. It's good opportunity for the
organization to get more visibility and engage a broader group of people in
discussion about Moscow's future.

If you are interested, please call me (882-0527) or Suvia Judd. If you
have questions about the survey itself, call Miriam (882-7334).
