Pednet: A listserver and website for those who walk

Those of great vision,

I have been monitoring a very active listserver recently entitled PedNet.
Despite the odd name, it can be a rather interesting source of discussion
about walking, and the empowerment of those who walk. There are all sorts
of interesting discussions on: how to make your community more pedestrian
friendly, what does "right to travel" mean on the modern road, how to slow
down autos, etc.

The listserver is hosted by the Willamette Pedestrian Coalition and is
subscribed by walking advocates all over the region, country and world. I
think there is a lot that we can learn for Moscow.

To subscribe, send a message to:

pednet-request@europa.com
with:
subscribe pednet <your email address>

in the body of your text.

(They will give you instructions on how to unsubscribe when you have had
enough.) Also, for those of you interested in visiting their web site, it
is:

Happy traveling,

Tom
