One more item for your calendars. It is the 1st annual Moscow Mayor's
Community Prayer Breakfast on Wed. Feb 1 from 7 am to 8:15 am at the
University Inn Convention Center in Moscow. I just heard about it today, and
will forward some quotes from the flyer I got from the Commissioner's office.
"Mayor Paul Agidius joins us (REDHAWK CROSSING is sponsoring the event) in
extending this request for your participation in a time of common unity for
the City of Moscow and the surrounding Communities of Latah County." The
flyer says to RSVP by Jan 25 to 882-6786, but I'm sure you can call a day
late if you are willing to go. From the flyer: "Our Purpose: To provide a
time of Spiritual reflection and outreach to our community and it's
leadership in Government, Education, Business, Church and Service Groups
focusing on the power available to us through prayer." There is a keynote
speaker from Virginia Beach, Virginia. The flyer says that Dr. Bob Boyd
"will motivate you to prayer". Cost is $7.50 per person or $60.00 for a
table seating eight people. A VISION 2020 table? Sorry, but I can't go. If
you want a copy of the flyer, you could probably get one at City Hall. The
focus of the morning is: "Prayer: Fact or Fantasy?" I have serious concerns
about the nature of the breakfast meeting. From all I can gather, the invite
list has been limited in scope. I wonder about the "common unity". Pam
