I was asked by the Latah Board of County Commissioners to post a copy of a
memo they received today regarding burning permits.

TO:  All Forest Districts, BLM Districts and IDL Offices
FROM:  Mike Dannenber, Idaho Department of Lands
DATE:  8/15/00
SUBJECT:  Burning Permits

In light of critical burning conditions, effective immediately the Director
of the Idaho Department of Lands is suspending all burning permits.  This
action is taken under the authority of Idaho code 38-115.  No burning
permits are to be issued and all existing burning permits are to be
cancelled.
