Gather to Support Public TV in Moscow on 6/15!

Visionaries,

Just a note to let everyone know that there will be a noon-time
gathering to speak out  in support of Idaho Public Television on 
Thursday this week.  If you value Idaho Public Television and its 
open-minded programming on a diverse array of topics, please attend 
this gathering.

Here are the details:

Thursday, June 15th
Noon-1:00 pm
Friendship Square
Downtown Moscow
Bring signs showing your support of Idaho Public TV!

As you may know, the State Board of Education (which oversees Idaho 
Public Television) is meeting at U of  I on Thursday, 6/15 and Friday, 
6/16.

Since airing the documentary  "Our House--Kids of Gay & Lesbian 
Parents" on 6/6/00, some Board of Education members and Idaho 
legislators are again expressing anger at Idaho Public TV and are 
calling for "stricter guidelines" on its programming.

State Board of Education President, Tom Boyd (Genesee) was quoted in the
Lewiston Tribune as saying "We probably will be more critical in what 
we write for directives".

Please join us on Thursday to show community support for Idaho Public
Television and the diverse programming it offers.
