I just have a few comments about the Joan Bearny, "Alleged Civil Rights
Violations" post in response to Jack Porters response.

Jack stated, "If you have evidence of a crime being commited, you should
report it. If you don't have direct knowledge, I say it is irresponsible
to repeat rumors".

My response to this is:
Do the Police, when arresting a SUSPECT always have the evidence they need
to support the arest? Or do they just have suspicions that a person
commited the crime, so they arrest them and then it is investiged?

I have had my own personal experiences where the later was the case.
Simply because someone said they saw something, the police arrested me.
There was never any evidence, but I was convicted of the crime as a result
of heresay.

So if Judge and Attourney in question have nothing to hide then how's about
a drug test? Anyone who has never heard about the alleged cocain use by
Judge Hamlet either doesn't get out much or they just arrent listening to
what people are saying.
This tidbit of information has been floating around since his marrage to
Peg.

All I am trying to say is that Just because someone sits in a position of
power does not mean that they are not human or that they follow the rules.

Of course after all this, even if there was to be a drug test done, by the
time it was done more than 30 days would have passed and therefore no trace
in the system.

And just because someone has known someone to be an upstanding citizen for
as long as they have known that person does not mean that the person they
know is not a drug user. Addicts in particular are very good at hiding
there use. Some are better than others. Just as with Alcohol, there are
functional Alcoholics and Unfunctional Alcoholics. The same is true with
cocain and other white powder drugs.

And as for Sue Hovey's praises for Craid and Kristi I just have this to
say, What you think that someone is when they are in high school is rarely
a reality. It is easier to pretend to be some one we are not when in high
school, especial if you're from an afluent family, than who we really are.
I was not that way as Sue can attest to but I know that Craig and his
brother were not the people outside of school and the class room that they
pretended to be in the class room.

As for Kristi, I probably know her too but cant place the last name, I am
not suggesting that she is not a stong young with impecable character, but
presures can be applied from within the system that can persuad some one to
do something they wouldn't normally do. Especially when trying to practice
law in a town the size of Moscow. And with the good ol' boy's around it is
easy to be blackballed if you know what I mean.

I don't know but, I too want to know why so many of you are affraid to ask
questions of your local yahoo's.
