Am I alone in feeling that the lively, stimulating discussions that once
characterized this list have fallen off? While I agree that "shooting from
the hip" is not a productive way to discuss an issue, perhaps all the
admonitions about what is and isn't appropriate to discuss (starting back in
March with the pool proposal) have chilled discussion in general. Or maybe
it's end-of-the-school year blahs.
