The fleecing of Idaho

The fleecing of our tax dollars is continuing. Does anyone know the advantage of a monopoly? Ask Bill Gates. He knows. Made him the richest man in the world. Enough of that.

There is a reason the federal government doesn't like monopolies. But, we here in Idaho continue to look the other way sending thousands of jobs and millions of tax dollars over our borders. We must stop it, now! Washington is in the process to legalize slot machines. They already have the card games. Soon, we will have a mini Las Vegas in Pullman and Clarkston. It will be the death of many businesses in Moscow and Lewiston and surrounding areas. As the gambling continues to increase in Washington, with our taxable dollars, they soon will be able to discontinue sales tax, just like Nevada, and there won't be a need for shopping malls in Moscow and Lewiston. Who wants to pay the sales tax? Shop in Washington! Currently, we benefit the other direction now.

Just another little example:

Read the Argonaut newspaper, Tuesday, October 29th, page 10.
"Sponsored by Sigma Chi, University of Idaho. Casino Night in Pullman, Washington." More tax dollars - OUT THE WINDOW! Are you starting to see? Every couple of weeks they advertise in the Argonaut and the reservations advertise practically every day in the paper and on TV. Our taxable dollars are flying out of our state at an ever increasing pace. And - we are left with the burden. It is time to change, wake up. It is time to realize and take advantage of this taxable resource and keep it within our state. Our towns will soon be ghost towns. Businesses will soon be hollow shells. The tax revenue that they currently bring, will cease. You won't get any property tax from vacant buildings. We may all become like a ghost town of those in the past. All that will be standing on this side of the border will be the University and parks.

Wake up! Stop the drain. All of our surrounding states have it. Let's have it in Idaho too.
