The award-winning antiwar play, "FRONT," will be staged at the UI Hartung
Theatre October 16-29 at 7:30 and Sunday, October 20 at 2 pm. The play is
written and directed by UI Theater faculty member Robert Caisley.
There is also an interdisciplinary panel discussion on Friday, October 18 at
2:30 pm at the Hartung Theatre which is FREE and open to
the public.
Set in London during the Blitz, "FRONT" tells the story of a group of women
living through the socio-economic and emotional impact of World War II and
its devastating effects on the home front. Winner of the 1996 Freedom Forum
Peace Play Award, it has been staged at theatres across the country, most
notably at the prestigious Sundance
Institute and the Philadelphia Arts Bank Theatre.
