Confronting Injustice

the U of I's University Communications and Marketing _The Friday
Letter_:

"A leading U. S. public-interest lawyer who has won national acclaim 
for helping condemned prisoners seek justice in the Deep South since 
1985 will present the College of Law's Bellwood Lecture Thursday, 
Oct. 10. Bryan Stevenson, the executive director of the Equal Justice 
Initiative in Montgomery, Ala., will discuss "Confronting Injustice," 
at 4 p.m. in the SUB Ballroom. The lecture also will be telecast live 
to Boise, Coeur d'Alene and Lewiston beginning at 5 p.m. MDT, 4 p.m.
PDT. 
As leader of the Alabama initiative, Stevenson and his volunteer 
lawyers defend those who claim they have been denied fair legal 
treatment."
