I do agree it isn't fair.   I don't think it's the only solution.  Let's review:   Bill London posts (to this list) a question about an incident that occurred last week.   It's similar to what you heard a while back.  Conclusion: it's either one or the other is a rumor or this type of thing happened more than once. 
 
No one has posted (that I've seen) to this list representing Bucer's and no one has posted who had direct information about the event.  So it isn't evident that the parties involved know of this discussion.  Plus, no one here has a dog in this fight, directly at least.  One solution may be for us to ignore it or point out the problem with that type of post, which some have done. 
 
Otherwise, if it continues to be a bother to you, why not get the facts?  Why post a solution for someone else to act upon (when someone informs them of the problem), rather than simply asking them?
