RE: Rumor Control - Bucer's Responds

Title: Message
Greetings:
I contacted Pat Greenfield, one of the owners of Bucer's. She was aware of the rumor and gave me some history.

Several months ago, a member of a band that played at Bucer's emailed Pat and confronted her about a rumor
he heard circulating in the community. The gent went on to say he would not play music at Bucer's if the rumor
was true. Mrs. Greenfield responded, with the full support of the other owners, and indicated the rumor was
false. The gent was pleased and stated he would do his part to squelch the rumor any time it surfaced in the
community. Since that time, the rumor has continued to spread, predominantly in the homosexual community.

The owners of Bucer's, and their staff, have never refused service to ANYONE! The only time they have asked
anyone to leave is if they are drunk and disturbing customers. The owners of Bucer's welcome anyone in the
community regardless of their color, religion, sexual preference(s), etc.

Pat Greenfield told me the staff at Bucer's is selected for their ability to serve customers. They make every
effort to be kind and respectful. The owners have never had to instruct their employees to be kind. Their staff
is often upset when they are approached by patrons, in a non-friendly manner, and asked if it's true that they
refuse service to homosexuals. The staff is often offended my this repeated implication and unfounded rumor.

Bucer's can't quite figure out why this rumor was started, but they believe it may have something to do with
the fact that they're Christians. And despite the rumor, it's standing room only on many a night and all are welcome.

And what a surprise, Mr. Bill London never made that call.
